FIRESTONE TIRES WARRANTY
Firestone tires have been manufactured and sold since 1900, and were the first tires used on the first mass produced automobile in the United States in 1906. Always a popular consumer choice, Firestone tires are subject to a limited warranty as well as a try and buy 90-day guarantee. Firestone offers the following:
Firestone tires purchased in Canada are covered under Firestone’s Gold Pledge Limited Warranty, which covers all passenger and light truck tires, excluding winter and temporary use tires. For the Firestone tire warranty, all tires covered under this warranty mean that as a purchaser, you are entitled to have your tire(s) replaced with an equivalent new tire free of charge, or you will pay a pro-rated amount if your tire becomes unusable within a certain time and tread wear usage period. This warranty also only covers tires sold as replacement tires, and is valid only for the original purchaser on the originally installed vehicle.
Regarding your Firestone Limited Warranty in Canada, it is important to note that your tires are covered for replacement for the first three (3) years from the date of purchase, however, proof of purchase is required, or for four (4) years from the date the tire was manufactured, if you do not have a proof of purchase. In addition to the free replacement tires, your Firestone tire warranty also covers the cost of mounting and balancing. Your Limited Warranty extends to a full five years in total from date of purchase or six (6) years from date of manufacture, where your tire(s) will be replaced with a pro-rated charge. The pro-rated price is based upon current dealer pricing and based on the current per cent of tread wear. Please note there is no road hazard warranty included in your Firestone tire warranty.
Your Firestone tire warranty also includes a buy and try 90 day guarantee, which means that if you are not satisfied with your purchase of four or more tires, within 90 days you can take them back to the original dealer. This warranty is only valid in Canada and the U.S., and original proof of purchase is required.
You don’t need to file a claim form if you have issues with your Firestone tires which you think may be covered under warranty. Simply look up your nearest certified Firestone tire dealer, and take your tires with you to the dealer, along with your proof of purchase.
