What is covered

Cost to repair the damaged tire

Reimbursement of the repair cost up to 30$ (See terms and conditions).

Cost of the damaged tire (non-repairable)

YEAR 1, 100% of the original price of the tire if less than 2/32nd of wear up to a maximum of $400 (before taxes)*.

YEAR 2, 50% of the original price of the tire if less than 4/32nd of wear up to a maximum of $400 (before taxes)*.

STEP 1: Gather the necessary information

If your tire is repairable, you will need :

  • Your initial blackcircles order number (e.g. 2017XXXXX).
  • The make and model of the tire to claim.
  • The make, model and year of your vehicle.
  • The complete DOT. Need help?
  • Tread depth measurement. Need help?
  • Mileage at installation and replacement.
  • Your tire repair invoice.
  • A photo of the damage/repair.
  • A detailed description of the problem.

If the tire is irreparable, you will need:

  • Your initial blackcircles order number (e.g. 2017XXXXX).
  • Your blackcircles order number of the replacement tire.
  • The make and model of the tire to claim.
  • The make, model and year of your vehicle.
  • The complete DOT. Need help?
  • Tread depth measurement. Need help?
  • Mileage at installation and replacement.
  • Photos following the examples shown: Photos examples (the tire must be dismounted).
  • A detailed description of the problem.

 

STEP 2: Complete the claim form

Once you have completed your form, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

 

 

STEP 3: Analysis of the request

Our team will analyze your request and contact you within 24 to 48 business hours. We will inform you of the next steps to take depending on the issue or issue the refund accordingly to the type of request.

If we do not hear from you for a duration of 2 weeks after the latest contact by Blackcircles.ca to request additional information, Blackcircles.ca will close the claim.

Terms and Conditions

The Road Hazard Protection Plan is valid on the purchase of a set of 4 tires on Blackcircles.ca made after March 23, 2022. Run flat tires, LT truck tires, 21 inch and larger tires are not eligible. Coverage is applicable on 1 tire per order and is valid only for the original purchaser. It is important that you do not dispose of the damaged tire as if you are not able to provide the tire in question or photos as requested, your claim will be denied.

Should the manufacturer or the distributor have a similar or better road hazard protection plan as part of their tire warranty, it will take precedence over Blackcircles.ca protection plan. The ultimate decision to accept or deny the claim will then fall on them.

What is covered

If the damage can be repaired, blackcircles.ca will reimburse the cost of the repair up to a maximum of $30 (before taxes) following the reception of the repair invoice.


If the damage is not reparable, blackcircles.ca will reimburse the value of a tire on the original purchase invoice or the value of the replacement tire, whichever is less, up to a maximum of $400 (before taxes) according to the conditions below

  • Year 1: During the first year following the purchase: 100% of the original price of the tire if less than 2/32nd of wear. If more than 2/32nd of wear, the amount will be prorated if less than 4/32nd of wear.
  • Year 2: 50% of the original price of the tire if less than 4/32nd of wear.

What is not covered

  • Intentional damage and vandalism
  • Damage to tires due to an accident (car accident, fender-bender)
  • Damage due to improper use:
    • Commercial use
    • Abusive use such as racing or drifting
    • Off-road use
    • Overloading (not respecting the load index of the vehicle)
    • Overinflation or underinflation
  • Damage outside of Canada
  • Damage due to mechanical problems such as wheel alignment, friction, damage to a vehicle part, etc.
  • Environmental fees.
  • Damage done to the vehicle due to the damaged tire.
  • All other costs such as shipping, installation costs, loss of use, delivery costs, towing costs, etc. will not be covered by blackcircles.
  • Any costs not related to the tire itself will be paid by the customer.
  • Incorrect mounting of the tire, tire/wheel imbalance or improper repair.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

DOT : The DOT is an inscription found on both sides of the tire. Please note that the complete DOT has 12 to 13 characters ending with 4 digits indicating the week and year of manufacture. For more information, click here .

Tread depth measurement:. If you have a depth gauge, graduated in 32nd of an inch, use it to measure the tread depth. Insert the probe into the main profile in the groove and push the shoulders into the tread. 

Documentations and photos : The manufacturer is entitled to request certain documents (e.g.: proof of alignment, proof of permutation, etc.) as well as specific photos depending on the type of claim..

Replacement tire : The manufacturer has the right to request proof of replacement. It is understood that the replacement tires must be the same brand as the original product..

Transport : The manufacturer has the right to request that items be shipped to an authorized warehouse for physical inspection. In this case, we will be happy to facilitate the task by scheduling the pickup and sending you the shipping labels by email (Please note that shipping costs are at the consumer's expense).

Processing time : The regular processing time varies from 4 to 8 weeks from the time the claim was transmitted to the manufacturer. Depending on the season and the type of claim, the processing time will generally be less than 12 weeks.
 
Refunds : Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment used for the original purchase. The amount of the refund is based on the terms and conditions of the manufacturer's warranty. (Environmental fees are not refundable).
