Toyo Tires once again made a big impression at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the world’s largest automotive industry event. From November 4 to 7, the Japanese brand showcased its famous Treadpass exhibition area, a must-see destination for car enthusiasts and design lovers alike. For 12 years now, this unique space has brought together builders, artists, and engineers united by one shared passion: creativity on four wheels.
Where Performance Meets Art
The 2025 Treadpass featured 28 custom-built vehicles representing a wide range of styles, from a 2008 Lamborghini Murciélago to a twin-turbo 1988 Ford Bronco, and even a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser reimagined by Showstoppers USA. Each was equipped with Toyo Proxes or Open Country tires, known for their performance and grip.
Every vehicle on display was a bold design statement: a 1969 Chevrolet Nova boasting 1,200 horsepower from Empire Fabrication, a 1988 BMW 528 supercharged by CAtuned, a 1977 Datsun 620 Hakotora restored by a father-son duo, and of course, a 1982 Porsche 935 K3 twin-turbo built by Bisimoto Engineering. These one-of-a-kind creations reflect Toyo’s ability to fuse cutting-edge technology with artistic freedom.
Redefining Car Culture
This year’s edition stood out for its exciting collaborations. Partnering with Time Capsule, Toyo showcased a life-size die-cast toy box featuring the Porsche 935 K3, transforming the nostalgia of collectible models into a full-scale art installation. Visitors could also collect exclusive Leen Customs pins featuring the displayed vehicles or meet the brand’s founder, Hansel Echeverria, during a special signing session.
Digital culture was also in the spotlight: Toyo renewed its partnership with Zynga, developer of the mobile game CSR Racing 2. SEMA attendees could vote for their favorite car, which will later be added to the game, allowing players around the world to drive it virtually. A fun and modern way to extend the Treadpass experience beyond the show floor.
Toyo, Driven by Passion and Innovation
For Stan Chen, Senior Manager of Events and Partnerships at Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp., Treadpass perfectly embodies the brand’s spirit: “It’s a celebration of creativity and automotive passion. We’re proud to provide a space where builders can push the limits of design and performance.” This year’s SEMA ended on an inspiring note, as Toyo Tires reminded the world that automotive passion isn’t only about performance... it’s also about creativity, collaboration, and the art of building something truly unique!
