Sidewall explained

Sidewall Explained

As seen on the image above, the sidewall of a tire contains a set of numbers and letters, which represent the following tire information;

1. 205 tire width

2. 55 tire profile

3. R indicates that it is a “Radial” tire

4. 16 tire diameter

5. 91 tire load rating

6. W tire speed rating

When choosing new tires, we recommend using the same size as your current tires. Note down the information and start your search on blackcircles.ca using the three initial criteria:

1. Width

2. Profile

3. Diameter

Then, you can select the speed rating and the load rating for your vehicle’s tires.
